Symphonic Band is a full year course and receives one and a half honors credits. Designed for the honors level musicians, the course of study consists of Level III essential learner outcomes focused on music performance, music theory, music composition, music history and music analysis.

 

Concert Band is a full year course and receives one and a half credits. Designed for advancing musicians, the course of study consists of Level II essential learner outcomes focused on music performance, music theory, music composition, music history and music analysis. Students will take time during the year to focus on World Music as well as Film and Video Game Music. 

 

Varsity Band is a full year course and receives one and a half credits. Designed for incoming ninth grade musicians, the course of study consists of Level I essential learner outcomes focused on music performance, music theory, music composition, music history and music analysis.

 

 Percussion Studio  is a full year course and receives one and a half credits. Designed for incoming ninth and tenth grade musicians, the course of study consists of Level I and II essential learner outcomes focused on music performance, music theory, music composition, music history and music analysis. Percussion students will study and develop skill son several areas related to percussion performance including snare drum, timpani, mallet percussion, drum set and auxilary percussion.   

 

Jazz Band is an extra curricular activity open to all students who play saxophone, trumpet, trombone, keyboard, guitar, bass guitar and drum set. Students must be enrolled in a curricular music class in order to be involved in the jazz band program. Exceptions may be allowed for electric guitar or electric bass.
